Medical Unit

   The Medical Unit portrays a Confederate Civil War field aid station. We conduct both tours and first person scenarios for visitors at re-enactments and living history events. The tours consist of informal discussions on the state of medicine in the 1860's in general and the Civil War in particular, as well as displays of medical equipment, support services and interactive exhibit of alternative medicine. All the equipment and material presented have been thoroughly researched and documented, with the goal of providing an accurate and informed impression. The tours and demonstrations are appropriate for visitors of all ages and interest levels.
